Headlines For A New Mayan Era

Well, it’s the morning of December 21, 2012, and the world as we’ve known it is still here. Now we can reflect on what the end of the Mayan Long Count calendar really means—the ushering in of what might be called “a new era” or as the Mayans conceived it “beyond the 13th b’ak’tun.” And according to their concept of time, since the first four creations failed, perhaps we can make it work this time.
